ah, the locust. single-handedly responsible for introducing white belts and black hairdye to the scene. seeing them at MichiganFest in 2000(?, 1999?) was the craziest set i have ever seen. the crowd went ballistic..tons of naked dudes, naked chicks, costumes, signs, i think i remember fireworks going off, chandeliers being torn down from the 20ft ceilings.... oh, and they sold Locust-branded coke mirrors at their merch table.
there's no need to buy anything beyond the first LP, and maybe some of the early splits/7"s. it's kinda sad that they're still around...should have quit while they were ahead. how many kids are regretting those locust tattoos now?!?! haha
